OCC Update
Okay~it looks like we have narrowed it down to two options for our Operation Christmas Child get-together. One would be Saturday evening (after Queen3 gets off work) the other would be Sunday afternoon. If we do it on Sunday, we would need to get started fairly early (1:30 or so) because I would have to leave by about 4:00 to give myself plenty of time to drop the boxes off in Mesquite by 5:00.
Let me know which you prefer! And feel free to invite others--I have done a pretty bad job of advertising this. Of course it will be tons of fun with just us chickens!

That kid sure looks happy. I hope some photographer is there to take a picture of MY kid when he opens his bright new XBox 360! It's only the hot-hot-hottest toy in America this Christmas! Tell me, should I give him the basic $299 version or the $399 that has the extra memory and optional graphics processor?
Oh yes--and I'm fine with anything. I still have Queen 3's bag o' booze at my apartment.
That's right, JFo! Bring it along!! I vote for Satuday evening - right after I get off of work. I'm no good for anything on Sundays. It's God's little way of making me obey that whole "take a Sabbath" commandment. She does work in mysterious ways, doesn't she?
You know, a Seventh Day Adventist would tell you that you're an apostate for observing the Sabbath on a Sunday instead of a Saturday.
Apparently the Greco-Roman calendar was divinely inspired. I'm not the only one taking Stoopid Pills. How much of an idiotte do you have to be to create an entire branch of Christianity based on something as ridiculous as the fact that many people consider Sunday to be the FIRST day of the week...
I don't see why the French don't set Seventh Day Adventists on fire. Do some people some good!
Whoa--I just saw that one of the side effects of taking Stoopid Pills is crabbiness. Gaa!
Okay, we've drifted off-topic a little. In all seriousness: what games are you going to get the kid to go with that 360??? Nothing too violent, I hope.
So, is Saturday evening okay for OCC? By the way, do you have the little pamphlets that go with it, or can I find gift suggestions on-line?
Saturday evening it is! It's official! If you go back to the original post, and click on the first link, it will give you gift suggestions. I also linked the pdf file that you'll need to print out and fill out to go along with your gift.
Wow! You're a blog genius!!! I'm impressed with your cleverness!
